My name is
Pamela Critchley. I am an Integrative
Psychotherapist / Counsellor with experience of working with
individuals and
couples of all ages including adolescents. I work with my clients looking at life issues and challenges such as anxiety, abuse, bereavement, loss, identity issues, depression, addictions, relationship difficulties, confidence, self esteem issues, and many more.
I am an Accredited Counsellor/Psychotherapist with the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) and I am Registered with the UKRCP as an Independent Counsellor Psychotherapist.
My Psychotherapy and Counselling Practice is in
Guildford,(GU2) Surrey, very close to the town centre and approximately a ten minute walk from Guildford Railway Station. It is also in easy reach of Godalming, Woking, Haslemere and Farnham.
I see
psychotherapy and counselling as a process that can enable our lives to flow with more ease, opening up present and future changes and a growing feeling of well being. I find the following quote on life, from Carl Rogers, an American psychotherapist, is a useful way to consider therapy.
"Life, at its best, is a flowing, changing process in which nothing is fixed. In my clients and in myself I find that when life is richest and most rewarding it is a flowing process. To experience this is both fascinating and a little frightening. I find I am at my best when I can let the flow of my experience carry me in the direction which appears to be forward, towards goals of which I am dimly aware..life is..always in process of becoming"
(Carl Rogers)
I also work as a
Supervisor providing
supervision for Counsellors and Psychotherapists in Clinical Practice and Training.
